Dr. Deana Clifton, O.D., was born and raised in Bossier City, Louisiana, and has remained a life-long resident. She is an honors graduate of The University of Louisiana at Monroe where she received her B.A. degree in Journalism-Public Relations. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2006. She worked at a commercial location in Shreveport, LA for 5 years before opening her own private practice.
In October 2011, Deana opened the doors of Clifton Eye Center located at 1000 Chinaberry Drive, Suite 302, in Bossier City; a state-of-the-art optometry office which is currently welcoming new patients. She offers comprehensive eye exams for ages 4 and older, contact lens evaluations, dry eye management, cataract and LASIK co-management, diabetic exams, and treatment of inflammatory or infectious eye diseases. Clifton Eye Center also offers many name brand glasses in the optical.
Deana loves volunteering and giving back to the community. She volunteered with the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier for 4 years. She also volunteered with the Bossier City Lions Club “Glaucoma Screening Program” which offer free eye exams to those who normally would not have access. She also performed exams at no cost for the Shreveport- Bossier Rescue Mission.
Dr. Clifton, O.D., is dedicated to a lifetime of continuing education and the best patient care. In 2015, she completed an Advanced Procedures Course and Laser Examination with the University of Houston- School of Optometry. She was also certified with the Elleman/Pelleve’ laser.
Deana is a proud member of the American Optometric Association, Optometry Association of Louisiana, the Better Business Bureau and the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. She is married to Tim Clifton. They are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Juliann and Madeline. During her free time, she enjoys exercising, shopping, playing with her children and vacationing with her family.
